SUMMER JUNIOR RESEARCHER ACADEMY FOR KIDS!

  • The Summer Junior Researcher Academy is a weekly session hosted on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the WFVZ Bird Museum and Research Center for children in grades 3rd through 8th
  • In each session, we will use our Museum Collections and knowledgeable Staff Biologists and Educators to explore the incredible world of birds with learning goals such as: find and identify local birds, discover local ecosystems and food pyramids, conduct scientific observations and experiments, and showcasing future careers in science and museums. If your child is interested in science, animals, museums, and loves to learn, this is a perfect opportunity for them to gain the mentorship of our staff, who you can learn more about on our Staff page!
    • One session is offered per week and each session includes both days. You can choose from one to all of our sessions offered depending on the needs and interests of your Junior Researcher. Running from 9am – 3pm each day, we are offering 30 minutes of additional time for pick-up and drop-off for working parents.
    • Each session (two days) is $100 per child
      • Session 1: July 8th – July 9th, 8:30am – 3:30pm
      • Session 2: July 15th – July 16th, 8:30am – 3:30pm
